Re packing Muffler on my 400ex

I have a white brothers e-series . How much packing do I use? I bought a fmf bag is one bag for one pipe? They also say to use masking tape to wrap it? Any help would be great

Lay the packing out flat and then take the inner core of the pipe out and roll the packing around the core. Use the duct tape to hold the packing around the core when you install it back in the pipe. One package will be enough for one to two packings.

Do i wrap the pipe one time?...go around one time with insulation, but th ends together, and tape it down...

How tight do i wrap it?....
wrap it arund loose, then tape it down tight, or wrap it tight, then tape it even tighter? wrap loose, tape loose (snug)

What if i wrap it arund 2 time's?...then tape it up snug..
this will change the sound of the pipe won't it..
..will it hurt any performance?.....It's a D.G. pipe, so I can't hurt much...

Useing more packing will make the pipe deeper right..
..Thats what i want....but is this a good idea?
