Ok i went to little sahara and when we first arive there and before that up here in kansas jetting was fine for the first couple days, then i raced my bike at the drags and raced probably 50 times, no the damn thing backfires all the fing time, eveytime i let my thumb off the thortle it backfires, it does it with the same jetting as before when it didnt backfire it does now, i removed my chocke when we got back and have tryed leaning it way out with my k and n and pipe i went bakc to stock jetting and it still backfires, what the hell is wrong with my damn bike? should i try richening it, we did vavlve clearence when we got bakc from little sahara, so it cant be that unless there somethign im missing i dunno wtf to do :(

ok, i'm not exactly sure what you are trying to explain cuz you were "angry typing". But from what i got, the only thing you should be adjusting is the mixture screw OR the pilot jet.

by the way...if its poping, you need to RICHEN the mixture

I agree with Texan. I saw in your earlier post you are running a 155 main. Do you have the airbox lid off? I was running a 170 main with my lid off.

BTW, the wifes 250EX with K&N, no lid and Yoshi pipe would pop like a sumbich when you let off. I went up to a 110 main from a 105 and it was fine.

yeah, usually back firing means its lean

also check your exaust to see if its lose and the intakes on ur carb.you could be sucking air some where and that would make it pop also

i checked everythign responed in my other post please its got more info, but i believe i got a 160 main in there and the neddle is stock 3rd positon down im goign to put a 50 pilot in if that to rich im putting a 45 in and messing with the air screw, btw my lrd doesnt have a spark arrestor but it never backfired before without it

I run a 182 main and noticed mine popped sometimes when I would let off the throttle. I moved the needle a clip to richen it, and so far so good!

i think im goign to run a 160 or 155 main 3rd clip position and a 50 pilot or 45 with aiur screw out

a spark arrestor shouldnt ffect jettng to much should it?

i would give lrd a call. they will probally be able to tell you what you need for jetting. the spark arrestor will not do much for jetting. also, look at the plug. what color is it?
