the stock limiters on the 300ex are junk, and I am wondering to things, where can i get an aftermarket one, and how do I stop the limiter in reverse?? you have to cut a wire, but which?

To get rid of the reverse limiter just connect the two wires from the switch together.

The switch is located behind a small cover on the engine near the rear brake pedal. Just follow them back to the other side, disconnect them, then splice them together.

..hold up....what?....back-up.

What are the odds of me fkin' this up?
Mines still pullin' hard when it cut's out...
I thought it was the jetts...nope.
14/38 w/t 20" rear's...should i change this?

Completely eliminate the black-box? is this a good idea,

So could i use wire connections, like are on the key switch.
Leave the limiter mounted, and by-pass it when i'm ready to race. Then reconnect the limiter when i wanna ride trails' and such?

....sounds like a winner.
Jonny No.5..Need imput....I cut the 2 wire's leading into the rev-limiter,.Then fix opposite plugs for the 4 wire ends, plug em' all back acordingly?

Let me here oppinions from a few of you other guy's.
Is this really as good as it sounds?..

I just walked out there.
There's 4 wire's going in/out of the rev-liminter plug.
There are 2 wire's going into the motor. By the rear brake.
They come around to the LEFT side of the motor and use the same plugs i was talking about in my previouse post...after tht i'm not realsure where they go....it's dark.

So do i plug the 2 wire's from the motor into each other?....
Or do i plug the 4 wire's at the black-box into each other?
...if i by-pass at the "box", with those 4 wire's..what is the color combo i should use?

I understand what you mean, just help me get dialed in.
.....and how come i havn't heard of this before now?

You can't bypass the 'black box' but you can get rid of the REVERSE limiter by connecting the two wires from near the rear brake where they unhook on the left side of your quad.

You should be able to get a new box for less than $100.
