wb e-series spark arrestor

if you take the last plate out( the spark arrestor) does it do anything other than just make it loud? Would I lose power, or gain any? I have a friend down the road with the spark arrestor out, and its WAY loud. I have mine in for now, but am thinking about taking it out. Thanks for in input. -Nick-

We did that to a bike locally and it does make it louder and he did not like it because he likes to wheelie and it was harder to do that after we took that out he lost some bottom end I guess. made it flow though.

leave it in or you lose bottom end

leave it in. if you want more top end with less noise then no s/a just put more disc on.

just makes it VERY loud and annoying.

if you were running serious motor mods and constant HIGH RPM then it would be worth while but not now
