What tire is the best or highly recommended for mx? The best tire for loose pack and hard pack. I have found that I am going back to stock 400ex rims b/c they are stronger, so I am looking for tires to fit those kind of rims. A few choices I have been looking into are Holeshot MX, Razr MX, and the "radial" tire. Send me some info. thanks.

The new kenda's are the new kings of the block IMO..

The price is almost as good as the tires....:D

Quadmx18 is right about the Holeshot mx's. If your lookin at replacing your front tires every 8 rides then they are the ticket....;) :D

I think Holeshot MX tires are made of playdough...:eek2:

I thought the name of the thread was BEST TIRE not longest tire life, if you want a tire to last long go with radials or kendas but if your looking for performance on a mx track go with holeshot mx's, i run 19in holeshot mx's and they don't wear as fast as some people think, im getting a lotta life outta mine

John I ran the ITP fronts and they don't hold a canlde to the new kenda's. I thought the ITP's were the best until I rode the kendas.. NO chit they're really that much better in handling.. Holeshots push in corners I think..NO matter if it's dry, muddy, or perfect riding conditions.. I had the 19's and thought they sucked. Now 20 inch ITP's I've never rode so they might handle better. 19 inchers are a big 2 thumbs down...:ermm:

The Kenda 20's ride 100 times better. The 19's are just to small I think.

My vote goes to the Klaws...Kenda really did their homework when they designed these tires.

i run the razor mxs there OK but loose it in the mud. but on the hardpack and the loose stuff is whee they hook up the most.

BUT IF I DIDNT HAVE THE RAZOR MXS I WOULD GET THE KNEDAS!

If we were to ask this question like this..which tire would rank best as an "aid to suspension". I ran my friends radials, nice strong bite but man, feeling every bump on the track..its like a "vibration" feeling? would the 20" Kenda's smooth out the ride?

i think they would the radilas are such a hard compound there like rocks. the kenda will probbley give you a softer ride.

probably because of the size 19"s is def a rougher ride

the radials are bumpier because they are a high pressure tire unlike most quad tires that are low pressure tires so there is more cushion in the low pressure tires but you run a bigger risk of bending the rim. all you need to have a smoothe ride on the radials is a nice set of shocks. in my opion the radials are like the nicest tires to buy if you ride mostly hard pack because they dont fold over at all.

i would run the klaws. i have used them before and they work great. i love em. im getting a set for the ex when i get some money

19 inch tires of any kind require lots of air..I ran 12 psi in my ITP's...which is what most pro's use...

The Kenda's definitly smoothed out the ride.. THe 19's would let you feel every crack, crevace, booger, twig, and bug you ran over. Even with aftermarket shocks they were rough feeling..

These kenda's are much better. I'm very pleased with them so far and never plan to run any other front MX tire...:)
