250r speeds?

my friend is saying that a stock r is one of the fastest quads.

i no this is not true but could some of u fill me in on how fast a stock r would go?

id say 72-73 give or take a few. but no they are not the fastest stock quads... banshee quadzilla tecate-4 lt250r cannondale ds raptor and more will take a 250r in a drag that is (long drag)

It would beat your stock kfx... Their top end is 72ish stock, they are very quick and light.

The almighty 250R can win any race it's in. It is the fastest quad ever made in all situations. It wins MX races, XC races, hillclimbs, world's best duner, best trail machine ever, and even goes mudding better than any ute. Ask about 50% of 250R owners, they'll tell you the same thing...lol:D

realistically, mid 60's is it for an 86-87, they changed 5th and 6th gears in 88-89, so i would add a couple to it for those years. definately not the fastest for drags in stock form. but really, who wants to go in a straight line anyway?????

i personally dont care much about top speed... its pretty useless i dont think ive ever seen it 6th gear pinned except for glamis along that cannal.. that was the Shiat...:blah: :macho :devil:

310r duner......last weekend i did alot of wide open farm road riding....lets just say, the banshee i was riding with passed me like i was standing still, then he shifted into sixth....:mad:

its ok though, when we got in the woods, i went right around him like he wasnt there!:devil:

when i was in glamis.. my bud there was on his 395 banshee.. and on that cannal i passed him like nothing in 6th.. i think he was scared to go wtfo in 6th.. oh yeah.. he blew up one of his pistons halfway back.. spent like 30 mins getting pulled behind his Brothers ds650 beast....

oh yeah.. i blew up 2 days later too...:p :rolleyes:

plus hes in his 40's.. i think it mighta been age that helped me pass...

btw.. when he seized the one piston he was wfo in 5th gear ..... :eek2: he slid a little bit...:blah:

Stock 250r's aren't all that fast, I think only slightly faster then a stock 400EX. But really, who rides a stock 250r anyway? :huh :blah:
