Project 300ex (Trick!?!?)

Here are a few pics of my buddies 300ex that he is building in my shop right now. Frame and other stuff has fresh powder coat. Just installed chrome +2+2 400ex a-arms and 400ex works pro-series shocks. Other mods are works rear shock, durablue axle, white bros full system, renthals, ac bumper and nerfs, race wheels all around with tamer's and holeshot mx's, Lsr bearing carrier, and more, and what we are all waiting for... the maier orange race plastic. :eek2: Motor is proX 313 with web cam, hardened rockers & valves, mx port/polish, fabtech rev box. I think it will be a trick 300ex and WIDE!!! Sorry about the crappy pics. I'll post more as the work progresses.

**** that gives me ideas I was toying with the idea of getting a POS 400EX and tricking it out but that makes me think a trick 300EX would be nice.... How much mods to the engine does a 300EX need before it will smoke a 400EX?

At a race around my area there were a couple modded 300s and they were wopin all over my friend on his dale. The sad thing is i didnt relize they were 300s till halfway through the race cause they had 400ex plastic. Then i reall felt bad for my friend on his 10000 dollar dale. But its alot the rider a 300 can keep up if you know what your doing.

a 330 kit can beat a 400ex if done right

I have a 97 300ex.It is mainly stock.I have works daul rate fronts and 6 ply razr's all the way around.I know how to ride.I have been doing it for 12 years.


We have a small track.Takes about 1:30 to make a complete lap.My buddy has a 02 400ex.Some mods nothing major.Around that track he smokes me.I ride the crap out of that 300ex and it just don't have enough power.The handling is there.Just not the HP.I have raced him on a stock 2002 banshee and beat him by about 5 seconds.And on another stock 02 400.And beat him by about 15 seconds.I know how to ride.

Looks good, I am going to do the same thing for my sisters, but with a 250X.... I hope, they like to ride a bit, but we all beat on the 300 4x4 too much...

I have never raced. He raced at vinton county, Mason county WV, and meigs county ohio. Ive heard about that track but never been there where is it.

its a pretty sweet track. its in Lost Creek, WV. got to www.pyramidvalley.com for more information. they have a race there every weekend. and then the have a pro invatational race once a year.
