Well it depends what you use it for. I love mine for MX cuz its lighter and not as bulky but for XC PRM is a better choice.

I agree. I do alot of MX, but I also do other stuff from time to time, so I picked up the Heavy Duty AC skids. Their alot more beefy than the standard ones. Many people don't even know AC sells two types. The standards are light duty.

light or heavy it wouldnt have helped this one.....the bolts worked loose and down she went. taco said he did use loc-tite also. i know its been on there for a good bit...the gncc just was toooooooo much for it:devil:

i love my ac skid i only mx with it but it works great i dont loctite mine and its never come off or loose i just had a lil problem with it rattling so i ran a bead of silicone around and it quieted it right down, now there swingarm skids are another story, mine doesnt fit right and all the welds are cracking and i ride mx only:mad:

AC fit and finish gets a thumbs down from me as well. Nothing I've ever seen of their's fits correctly. My belly skid for my LT was a nightmare, the mounting tubes on the front bumper for my LT needed to be bent to fit and the grab bar for my LT needed to be bent. My cousin bought an AC front bumper for his 400EX--guess what? The mounting tubes needed to be pried apart to fit it as well.
