i picked up an atv lift from a local auto parts store back east i guess its the equivalent of an autozone..

$65 and it supports 1200lbs.. makes it easy to change tires.. or anything else..

also as cheap as the stands.. but you dont have to lift your bike everytime to use it..

not very portable tho.. it weighs about 90lbs

i use a motorcycle stand at the races or at a trail ride. it works pretty good and isnt as tall as the "quad" stands they sell. i do like the stands for building a quad or major repairs tho. its taller and more supportive.

i got a bike lift for fathers day and i love it. 1500 pound capacity and it works awesome for the day to day stuff i do. best part is no more lifting for me....and with my back trouble thats a big plus in my book.

id say look at what you need a stand for then make the purchase based on that. i have all 3 types...and i use them all:)

i made one rather than buying one. its made out of like 6x8 scrap wood that my dad had. works great i just stand the quad on the grab bar and put the stand under and lower it down.

yea i made one out of some wood and carpet. I used to use a 5 gallon bucket but it kept crushing so when i had my quad on the stand for 2 months waiting for my shocks i needed something sturdy. The last thing i need is that bucket to crumble and my quad to hit the cement frame first.

We have an AC stand and Motorsports product stand.. Personally I like the Motorsports one.. pretty beefy and comes in colors, and has to heavy duty straps.

i noticed the ladies thing and i wasnt gonna post at first but i said fu(k it lol:p i found the best thing ever to use! i took the keys to my 4 wheeler....road to school...stuck to milk crates on my nerfs...and road home! :macho it works great to! im going to make a platform for them to sit on and put some castors on it so i can roll it around but for my building has so much dirt/dust/dri-zit on it it doesnt matter lol:devil:

i use this one......i forget what brand it is....but it was about $65

Its not real tall.but when changing oil it gets the quad up so i dont have to lean over so much while sitting on my roll around chair

if i dont need to take the tires off, i take 4 milk crates and put the tires on them. gets it up off the ground a foot and a half or so, works really good. i also use saw horses if i need to take wheels off, especially since i have a stone floor in my garage:rolleyes:
