Finally the hard work has paid off! I just got a brand new '03 Honda 300EX! Not the most impressive machine out there, but oh well! Thanks to everyone for the advice, all was a big help! I am going to pick it up Tuesday at the dealer so I still gotta wait a couple days. Nobody probably cares at all but hey, this is very exciting news for me....

Yea, gonna be making payments on it. I pay for everything myself. Paid for my truck, insurance, gas, haircuts... everythiiiiing. I hate seeing kids get everything handed to them, lotta respect to those that work for it like myself.

congrats man got mine couple months ago was my first quad an im still having fun with it:devil:

06-28-2003, 04:23 PM
cool, goodluck with it

it pisses me off when people have to be so damn jealous of kids who are fortunate enough to have parents that can afford to buy them something, not all kids are spoiled brats and i think its good if any kid goes out and pays for everything himself but you grow up to quick that way im glad my parents let me be a kid and have fun and bought me a quad, ive paid for every mod on it myself and i maintain it and buy gas on my own, i can see your point when some kid gets something busts it in a week and has another new one in no time, thats just being disrespectufl and a ****head

I acutally got it right here locally! My Dad is awesome, talked the guy down good. freeride, i agree. I'm not saying the kid should ahve to pay for EVERYTHING. i do think that they should be held financially responsible for a lot of things, but not everything. it just pisses me off seeing a kid driving a gas guzzling V8, and there parents dumping the money for gas in it, giving them allowance on the weekends and ****.... that's cool that your parents bought you a quad, and i'll admit, mine put all the money down and i am just gonna be paying them off instead of the bank.

im kinda paying on mine i mad the 1000 dollor down payment. the 400 was only 4000 so it only had 3000 and since i dont have a job my parents are paying the payments but as soon as i get a job i need to make up all the payments i missed to them. its sucks my school disrict wont give out working papers untill you have a job and you cant get a job with out working papers it sucks soo bad. i want to get a pipe for the quad and im not allowe because i need to make payments so i need to get a job to make payments and all that chit.

sorry about all that congrats on the 300 what color did you get?

honda red is the best. my 300 is all tricked out but i worked for it. we got it for 2500 and i made payments on my old 250 until we sold it and i worked for half of the 300 and paid for my tranny when it blew.

I got on it and I thought it sucked at first. Everytime I agve it like half throttle it would sputter and wanna stall out. I noticed I had the choke on! After I switched it off, the thing flew. Already pinned her in 5th gear and am learning to do wheelies. I can ride the rears for a couple feet but that is it. Any suggestions?

Practice...

Get a helmet and chest protector and practice in an open field getting your balance in first gear - If you fall off the back just let go of the bike. You won't get hurt and the quad will just die and stop. Once you have that down you can start trying to shift into second while riding the wheelie
