how much do you think shipping will cost from your place to new jersey???

Guy400

I've never shipped a quad so I'd have no idea how much it would cost really.

Just to help you out...Shipping cost from Ohio to NJ would be about 300 bucks tops. Thats including the price to crate.

I shipped my Banshee from NJ to AZ for $250, so I say it would be just a little bit less, including Crate charges. I got my crate for free from the LOCAL YAmaha dealer since they just throw them out.

Guy not to make this sound stupid but don't forget you have to drive back. My buddy delivered something he sold on ebay and didn't think about it. Shot his whole day.

Guy400
07-22-2003, 10:40 AM
That's exactly why I'm not delivering my quad that far away;)

07-23-2003, 09:34 AM
if u r a mod u should keep the 400, the money you would get for it wont make much difference if you get the vette, plus you will have it for the the hatfield rides.

pnut420
07-23-2003, 03:36 PM
Would you be wiling to ship it to Ca, $3,000 money order, plus Ill pay shipping.

Guy400
07-23-2003, 03:40 PM
Yes but you'd have to research the shipping arrangements yourself and set everything up, pay for crating, etc.

Let me know.

LMAO:D I go out and start it about every other day and let it run for about 20 minutes just to run it. I haven't ridden it in easily over a month because I'm afraid if I did get it out it something would break (and at Hatfield you're almost certain of that). So I'm keeping it in near showroom condition for the next owner. I should probably go out and put an ad in the CycleTrader. I've only tried to sell it through the site so far.

I'll tell a buddy of mine about it he might be buying something here in a little bit.

.... I looked in your profile and saw you worked for diebold. Which one do you work at? I've done some caeterings at the one in akron and the one by seville.

Guy400
07-25-2003, 11:32 AM
I work in the Green office just north of the Akron/Canton airport. I'm not sure which building in Akron you were at but Seville is the repair depot. All used parts get refurbed there and sent back out.

Guy,
I already have a 400EX but recently had a run in with my wifes boyfriend. He ran over my bike with his truck and completely wrecked the frame. I was wondering if it would be at all possible for you to remove the motor and sell just the frame. Please let me know. Thanks bthompson@hotmail.com

Flyin#3-1/2, there's nothing wrong that I'm not telling you about. The pictures speak for the cosmetic aspects of this quad. Joe put new axle bearings in right before I bought it from him, sprockets aren't worn, chain isn't stretched, doesn't use oil and the clutches are tight.

alrighty then. sounds good. i have to find out how long it's taking for the banshee to be repaired, i just bought a new crankshaft assembly today for $470. i'll let you know when and if i'll be able to buy your sweet 400 ;)

Engine is stock except for the slip-on and a Uni air filter.

Flyin#3-1/2
07-31-2003, 04:39 AM
damn, so you wouldn't consider keeping the engine and selling everything else for a bit cheaper? i need a 400ex frame for a hybrid project of mine....(street bike engine, 400 twin). oh well, i'll call my dad up at work and ask him if we can buy yours.

Guy, from reading all of these threads it seems as though you are getting the run around. I bet you would have better luck opening an ad in the mini merchant. You are definitely asking a fair price especially with all of the mods.

guy400, i just got off the phone with my dad and as soon as i sell the banshee and if you still have your 400 (which i doubt you will) he'll drive me to pick it up. so i'll keep myself updated on the status of your 400 and hopefully you won't have it sold by the time i get the banshee sold, which should be hopefully soon!

how far are you from the IL border. just curious. i cant believe someone hasnt bought this yet, that is one hellava deal. if they wanted a stock quad they could sell your aftermarket parts for $500 easy. i think you should sell the a-arms and anything else and just get it closer to stock and ask $2800 or somethin. if i didnt have one already, i would drive to OH (from NW-IL) and buy that thing. good luck.

I'm not sure exactly how far I am from the IL border. My buddy works in Chicago and I think he said it's about a 6 to 6-1/2 hour drive for him.

Guy400
08-06-2003, 06:40 AM
No, as I've already said the brakes are brand new, axle bearings only have a couple hours on them, a-arms are brand new with new bushings, front wheel bearings are tight, doesn't use any oil, etc.

I think you would have better luck parting out the aftermarket parts replacing them with stock and trying to sell it cheaper , The 400 market is getting rediculous I remeber when I bought my 400 for 3 and it wasnt nearly as nice as yours and needed some cosmetic work also .
Well Good luck selling and If you ever do decide to sell some aftermarket stuff give me a shout

If you would be willing to deal with shipping then my brother would get it, but its to hard for me to worry about shipping when the quad is at your house. He would pay whatever the shipping costs and maybe even through in an extra $50 if you would be wiling to deal with shiiping. PM me and let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Yah but you guys are forgetting the market for the 400 is very great nowadays , parts are much easier to sell than a whole quad , Many people dont like to make a $3100 dollars decision online , I personally have And what they can't see is the shear beauty of this quad , This is a killer deal but in guys best interest it may be easier to part return to stock and sell for the amount less parts .
May be a little more work in the long run but everything would sell faster .
Well Just a thought that you may want to go over ,
anyways good luck
