Acually I have no idea and ofcoarse that depends on how well you take care of them, Im guessing if you take GREAT care of them around 300,000!:ermm:

300,000 is a LOT on a motor

but my uncle has a ford powerstroke 7.3, it is a 2000 and he already has almost 200,000 miles on it:eek2: and his is still runnin good

he had to replace an injector but thats it on the motor

gotta love ford:D

We have a 89 ford diesel with over 500,000 at work. Tranny is shot but it still runs, it's just tired now and sits.

I was talking to a guy with the older style cummins, he had about 800,000 and he was on his second motor. He said that he always had a 10,000# trailer behind it too.

Our really big ones are on around 600,000 now, and we have one that is heading up to 900,000 within the next few weeks, but shes a tired old dog. The GMC's we have seem to last longer than the fords and the 2 POS mitsubishis.

diesel engines last a really long time, look at most semis, some of them have over a million miles on them and they still run good

I used to work around alot of "Tractor Trailers" And some of those guys were running 1,000,000 miles :eek2: . Im sure they had to replace a few parts to make it up to 1,000,000 miles.

Not sure about normal truck diesels :ermm: .

U can say just about for ever we had a diesel van w/260 thousand miles on it and it still ran great would haul a traillor w/o a problem. Diesels are the best

It all depends what you are doing with the truck and how you are Treating it. If your doing all highway drving and changing the oil every 3000 miles or so your looking a 300,000 easliy without to many major problems (mabye and injector, fuel pump etc etc). But if your treating the truck like $*** then it's not gonig to lasting mabye a year or 2

Diesel motors will last a long time, espcially if they are electronic ones, my dads is still going strong at 300 000, he had to have the clutch replaced on Tuesday, but we abuse it. They will last forever if you treat them right :D

my best freinds dad drives rigs and we go with him alot on the runs and help out. he just got a new rig about a year ago and they said to take it easy on the trenny for about 500,000 miles till it got broken in good. his rig now has a little over 2,400,000 miles on it. yes i typed it right 2 million. it still runs fine.
