Nerfs?

What are Nerf bars for anyway? I'm assuming they are there to catch you or something if you fall off the pegs, but I don't really know. Alright, give me a second to brace myself while everyone flames me for being a dumbass.... ok I'm ready :)

If you over jump somthing I dont know. Maybe if your feet slip off pegs, the nets catch them so your foot doesnt go under I prosume? I dont know really, I never used them , and didnt really care for them.

nerfs were originally designed for racing to keep other tires from taking out your feet.
But they are also reall nice for catching your feet if you slip or jump, or anything that pops up trail riding.
