Would 250ex pipes fit on a recon? would the plastics? Would a bumper or grab bar? Are the frames the same?

hey i dont think they have the same frame isn't the 250ex supposed to be a whole lot lighter than the 250 recon which gace it more power in return?

it may be the same shaped frame but it could be made out of different materials or something.

you all probably aready knew that though.

They are the same frame, different paint. Everything will interchange. The 250ex has 10% more power due to the carb jetting gear ratio and the difference of 48 lbs. the suspension is only slightly different. And the ex has disc brakes up front while the recon still has drum brakes. The plastic will also interchange if you buy the fender brackets.:devil

I've got one of each (for wife & son). Frames look the same, I'll measure the A-arms tonight. Shocks are valved differently. The carbs (which are also the same) are jetted identically - at least for the 98 Recon & 2001 250EX. Performance difference is mainly the gearing & 50 or so pounds x-tra on the Recon. I've ridded the new Recon with the "250EX" cyl. head and didn't notice a difference from the old one - or maybe it wasn't broken in enough yet.
