I am the proud owner of a Honda Sportrax 250ex. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to what aftermarket parts I could add to my baby. Currently on my bike I have:

1. Trailtech Speedometer
2. DG Full Skidplates (A-arm, Chasis, Swingarm)
3. DG Grab Bar
4. DG Nerfs
5. MSR Dominator Handlebars
6. Acerbis Handgaurds
7. AC Racing Front Bumper
8. ITP Holeshots 22x11x9
9. Pro Circuit T-4 Silencer

Please don't bash me about not getting a 400ex because I'm 14 years old. I'm not looking to upgrade any time soon so I could use some advice to make my 250 as fast as possible, pretty as possible, etc. I could also use some help as to where I can buy parts and buy stock parts offline or in a catalog. And also, how can I clean up my scratched plastic. Any advice is helpful. Thanx for your help in advance.

i'd like to say welcome to quading and welcome to the site

for your bike, you have a lot already, with a pipe, you may want to put a filter on it like a k and n or if you ride in sand or want saftey for cleanliness in your engine go with a foam filter like uni, i heard there good, and make sure you jet it properly, there are big bore kits for it if you want, and for top speed if you want i think the only way to make it go faster for top speed is bigger tires, unless you can change the ring and pinion out i don't know if they make kits

WELCOME!!!!

Put a set of works shocks and wheel spacers on it. Then you can work on the power.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should clean my plastic? I've heard some rumors about krylon fusion, armor-all, mop-n-glo, etc. But which of these work the best or do you huys know of anything better?

krylon fusion is a paint used for plstics so dont use that. i just recently used kylon paint to custom paint my gas tank cover which came out aewsome and just look at my signiature for mods

So Krylon fusion is out, but how did it look on your gas tank? What do you use to make your plstic shine?

Please keep the advice rolling everyone's ideas have been extremely helpful!

P.S. Honda270ex: Do you have any pictures of your 250 (or should I say "270")?

I have another question. On my head pipe there is this nasty orange color growing. When I went to some 250ex pictures forums I noticed that some head pipes had the orange color and others didn't. Is there a way I can clean it off?

honda270ex

its just baked mud . if u have a power washer that will work or just pick up some steel wool

Scott-300ex

i know a way to make your plastics looking better

wash your quad!!!:blah:

also, the orangeish color on the header pipe is just from water and all the heat from the header pipe, the more you ride it the more it will show, it causes a chemical reaction so you really can't get it out much

for the link, go to the "Body" forum at the main exriders forum board, then look for something that says "scratches out of plastic", it has a paperclip looking thing right before the title, that means it has a picture attatched to it

I will try again
