I have been wanting to do a crf conversion but i think i have the answer. There is a company that make bikes called TM. they are a overseas based company and have many 2 strokes in the US. However, there are like 3 or 4 known 4-strokes about the us and one of them is an electric start. Anyway, my mechanic happens to have one of the 2001 400 4-strokes and a 2003 400 4-stroke with the electric start. He uses them for harescrambles. Anyway the claims that they produce around 53-54 hp stock. He is willing to sell me the bike and then buy the frame and extra stuff back off me so i can put it in a quad frame. If i could get ahold of houser and get a frame built for this motor i think it would kick arse! I really would love to have the electric start one but the whole bike is around $9500 for that one. They are a full race ready bike is why they are so high. what does everyone think about this or am i just dreaming? :)
