will a 330ex or bigger bore out run a 400ex?

does anyone know if a 300ex motor with a big bore kit cam port polished possibly carb and exhasut aftermarket filter would outrun a modded 400ex motor.

if i get this 250x there is a 300ex motor on ebay im gonna try to buy and modd it out.

something to do differnt.

a 330 with port polish, cam, carb, exhuast would definitely give a slightly modded 400 a scare in a drag, it would probably be close. I've seen a 412 before that was a 300ex motor, I think it was on this site like a year ago, that would definitely out run a piped 400ex lol

You have to put alot of money into a 300 to compete with the 400. I don't think a big-bore and headwork will quite do the trick, but add a stroker crank to that and it will do the job.

my 309ex (piston and all around cam) was dead even with a bone stock 400. i can see where a 330 would beat one. i tell you for sure in a few weeks:devil:

350x motors can beat 400's...they are fast..i just sold my 300 motor so i could buy a 350x to go on my frame

I would just keep the 250x engine and get a 300 big bore kit. Cheaper and probably more powerful.
