Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knew of an aftermarket rear grab bar for a 02 400ex.. I've seen a few advertised for the 400ex like PRM and AC but everyone I talk to say they had to modify them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

Thats one bad thing honda did about the 400ex:( I think they need to make it so you can change your grab bar, like on a 300 or 250ex. All of the ones I have seen you have to mod the grab bar. Sorry man.

I belive the new PRM grab bars are made to fit with out cutting the stocker off. The adapter may be sold seperatly though, I can't remember how the set up works at the moment:rolleyes:

i have an aftermarket burgard subframe that uses the 88-89 stlye R bumper. this one is a prm. the bolt on prm kits seem to work pretty good too. if you have access to some metal fabricating tools you can mod the stock sub to accept bolt on bumpers

Here's a picture of my PRM grab bar. It's actually one for a DS650. With some flat stock and a welder, this can be done pretty easy.

I put one on my 400 about a month ago and I love it. Glad they finally came out with a bolt on. I didn't want to cut up the back half. U-bolts are easy and I can remove it quickly to stand it up on end to clean the bottom. Now I have a 6-pack rack that matches my PRM Summit front bumper :D
