Buddies quad gettin back together after getting stolen

If you guys remember my riding duddies quad was stolen in march or april. Well he is heading to silver lake this weekend and it is finnaly coming back together. I got a couple pictures and ill get a couple more when its back together all the way.

Were going to do something about the hubs when he gets back but they will have to be red for now.

He got a bunch of new parts, its nice getting them all at once.

How much damage was done when he got it back?

Frame was cracked in one spot, stole his rear wheels and tires, edelbrock carb hydro clutch a bunch of nuts and bolts and a few other things. When he got it back there was a bunch of zip ties holding it together.

He has replaced those and got a new houser stem and swingarm too. His stem was tweaked and his swingarm was mushroomed from him not changing his bearings.

dispite the damage im sure hes glad to have it back. its lookin good

Its going back together better then ever.

He had insurance on it but im not sure how much he got?

Its a 2 coat i know the first coat was silver, I dont know what blue the second coat was. Its not really a translucent but has some metallic in it.

I'll try to see if i can get the exact colors out of the powdercoater, I bought my gun from the guy that did it.

There grooved ohthus (sp) i think there just stock 250r-400ex tires that were grooved. Not sure exactly he got them from tradeing some stuff. They do good dounughts on the road though.

I will im just waitin on my shocks and a hood. Figured i would use his for my avatar untill i get that stuff.

i like the hood but i don't like the way it gets fatter at the back. I like the 250r hoods but how much harder are they to put on?

How did the quad get stolen anyway? I know a lot of people have them stolen from their backyards. I am always worried that someone is gonna roll my quad out of the back of my truck while I'm in a store or something. I've had a lot of **** stolen in the past and I'm really paranoid about getting more stolen.

thats a sweet rebuild! Looks like a totally new bike. The frame is done in a candy blue translucent. Crome base, then a candy trans blue coat over it, followed by a clearcoat to protect the frame. I have the same color dont to my frame and other parts on my quad! that color is totally trick!

The frame was cracked when he got it back, you could tell they took the shocks off they put them back on back words. They probbly tried to put them on a bike with stock a-arms and figured out they wouldnt fit.

They rolled the quads out of the barn and rode them away, 3 quads got stolen.
