The Tecate 4 was a huge pile of poop. I've recently spoken with a fomer Kawasaki factory ATV racer and he raced one in 1988. He said he hated racing the thing because the transmission gears weren't set up right, Third and Fourth falls flat on it's face no matter how you sprocket the thing. I've never ridden one, but when a factory racer tells you they suck, they must suck.
