I just put brand new brake pads on the front of my 400 and when i went to use them they dont lock up? I dont no wht i have to do to mke them lock up? Help anyone

youll be needing to bleed your brakes. check in the FAQ section ...theres a sticky thread there all about how to do it:)

Do you always have to bleed the brakes when you change pads? I'm getting new pads here shortly, do I have to plan for this?

not always....but if the fluid was low to begin with...it creates an air pocket when you compress the pistons. if they ever feel spongy its a pretty sure bet they need bleeding

errr, they are spongy all ready. Can I bleed the brakes before I put on new pads, or should I just do it all at once?

id do it all at once. you can bleed the brakes at anytime.....it would just be easier when ya did the new bads since yer already workin on the mofo:cool:

Yea that is what I figured. Just going to be pressed for time, trying to pack for H/M.
