cracks

i was ridin with my friend today and i noticed after we parked that the motor kinda had lil cracks looks like little chips there not big and not deep just like it is chipped or somethin please give me some info and if i should worry also its a brand new 400ex about 2 weeks old

Hopefully its just casting flaws in the metal.Its not leaking oil is it?

no its not leaking anything and yea i think its just the casting metal is that a bad thing or does that just happen sometimes

i dont think i would worry about it dude, its probably nothin:)

The casting marks can be a weak spot in the aluminium but if there cracked its allready done. Maybe your confusing the marks for cracks, and then it may be just normal marks and not cracks.
