Gopher Digging Up My Yard!!!!!!!!

I got a problem and I have tried alot of the gopher poisons but not one of them have worked. So I was wondering when gophers are digging up your yard how do you get rid of them ? Any help is greatly appreciated!

they sell a trap that will get most of them...home depot etc. we had them and thats the only way shy of throwing a startving snake in the yard to get rid of them:ermm:

it was a legitimate question and i dont think he meant any harm by it. Chauncy is a good guy, he was just looking for an answer to help him with his problem.

you've tried poison? the spike traps that Pappy mentioned work pretty good too. dont use the ones that sit in the mouth of teh holes. use the ones that you stick thru the ground into the tunnels.

also a good dog that likes to hunt stuff works well for gophers...growin up, my pit bulls used to bring dead gophers to me all the time.

ive never tried the sound devices....all i know is that them damn lil rascals will make a nice yard look real bad:( id snatch a few of the traps .....then break out the gas:devil: happy hunting:D

Thanks for the help guys. I will try the spike traps and hopefully they will work, if they dont I will try the sound thing that sends ear piercing noises to them:eek:

heres how i do it....(im a hill billy)

1. make sure the gopher is in the hole
2. put a hose in the gopher hole
3. turn on water
4. have someone with a gun waiting at the other end of the hole
5. shoot gopher as soon as he trys to escape from drowning

YEP I have 2 of them & they go nuts goin after the moles & gophers!!! My border collie/bl heeler will act like he's stalking them, all scrunched down then he dives in the hole & bites clumps of dirt out & digs like he's digging to China LOL then I just go back & fill the holes.

We get em all the time too. I usually use the smoke bombs.... or Juicy Fruit. We have also used the hose method (best early in the morning when they are moving.) My neighbor has cought 3 of them by hand.... just sees the ground moving and BAM!

I was told last year that the sound things just produce vibrations, which annoys the moles and scares them off....... so ride around all day :confused:

apparently you can put human hair clippings down in their holes and that seems to do the trick(never tried so I cannot promise) In my home state you cannot put traps out for them it is against the law. Too many cats are dying because of the mole traps. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. The option I always enjoyed as a HUGE PYRO is to dump gas in their holes and then light it. The ground jumps about an inch in the air because of the rapid expansion of gases. It is sooooo much fun.

tis an old deal my grandad told me find a goper tunnel get a peice of juicyfruit kind of fold it over and stick it down in the tunnel, if he finds it (most of the time he will) he will eat it and it will kill him it will get stuck inside him and he cant eat or anything . i meen its kind of cruel but it gets rid of them when the spike traps and poisons wont and beats water logging you entire yard only for him to move to the back yard :grr:

chunk a handful of lit M90's down in there and shoot if they come out, problem make em deff (spelling?) and blind

I use that hot kind of musterd. Put it in there lots of it and they eat it and then they ether leave or die one. Or you can hook a hose up to your exaust pipe if you have a El Camino and stick it in there and it kills them or makes them leave too. Or you could get you a red bone like my dog Red. He gets rid of them.

Invite a couple starving inbreds over, and loose them in the yard...

Get a milk crate, a stick some rope, adn gopher food.
1.Prop the box up with the stick
2.Tie the rope to the stick
3.Put the food under the box.
4.wait until it comes out and pull the rope.
5. Now hes alive and you can take out all the pain and suffering its given you on him personally.
P.S. Bring beer or a nudey mag or some other pass time while gopher waiting.

lol Yeah we dont get gophers and **** lol down here to much but i like .300 idea lol that ***** will explode!!!! put a lawnmower..running...over the hole....set the blade low...they come up to see what the noise is....BOOM no more rodents.
