sorry this kind of all went to the way side, but the hoods are now available at FEATHER CARBON (http://www.feathercarbon.com)

The hoods for stock plastics are $125. They can also make them without the mounting brackets so they can be zip tied to Maier plastic and they are a little cheaper.

it would look so much better with a black tank plastic thing like mine;) buttt im selling the 300 so i wont need it lol

They need to be made one peice with the top tank peice to allow the scoop a longer look...................Or buy OEM 400ex plastic and a 400ex scoop.:cool:

Looks pretty goofy. Mount a 250r hood on it... looks way better. Talk to pvt.maggot for mounting. His looks 10x better. But whatever floats your boat.

that looks better then the pics before but i still wouldn't put it on my quad...the bubblish look is still there and it isn't long enough needs a black fibe peice that meets it.
PS: i got new tires :macho

I guess it's all just personal preference. I have never been a fan of the R hood on an X. It makes the front off the quad look way too long and out of place....
