Anyone else putting in a lawn this summer? We started last year and are now finished with the soil/seeding........what a pain..........

our new house got sodded last year.. weve had to water the piss outta that thing.. :o

I hear ya.....we had to start from scratch on our new house too and just when ya think ya have enough water.....water more....lol

What the heck do you need grass for..... don't you always have snow.... and live in igloos?

A few buddies and myself did mine a few months back. Water is the last thing we are lacking here. I think I still have water laying in my yard. We put down 300 lbs of lime, 350 of fertilizer and 350 lbs of seed. Needless to say, it took of like crazy.

My dad tills up and reseeds portions of our lawn (and some years the entire thing) every year. Every year a different spot will die over the winter, so come May we're out there with the seed and sprinklers.

What type of grass are you going to plant, or what have you planted so far? I know I"ll have to do this someday... :eek:

yea just put lawns in a few years back at both houses....ya gotta water alot...and usually if ya figure out how much seed it will take like 200 lbs or something....make it 350 and ur lawn will be nice
