good quad to buy

I am looking for a good quad that is for less than 2000$ and that you could get to me somehow. Must be in wisconsin or twin city area.

i live about an hour from the WI border and about 1/2 hour from the mississippi in IL. i could probably meet you somewhere within 2hrs from me or somethin. there is a slight chance i could get it to you. ill give you a list of mods if you are interested. its an 89' that is VERY clean- it gets lots of compliments. not a disappointment. you cant get much faster than a banshee without spendin hella $$$.

1994 Banshee with lots of extras.... procircuit pipes Brand new itp rims & holeshot tires, chrome grill(not on in pic), nerf bars (not on in pic), new silver renthal bars (not on in pic) motor has a very very small oil leak in front of motor.... a couple drops of oil a day, you could ride it & just fill it before you ride or you could fix it with some sealant or go all out & change the gasket. $2000 FIRM It is in the twin cites, about 20 miles west of Hudson WI. Let me know.

jon get this banshee!! that looks really nice for $2000! and a new gasket kit to fix that oil leak isn't expensive either, so i'd definately go with this quad....just as long as it ran good.

spliffy- has the engine ever been rebuilt? and if it has, when was the last time?

The engine is bone stock.... in the last 5 yrs (since my buddy bought it) its prolly seen about 10 hrs of riding at the most. It runs great the way it sits right now, but if you were to replace the gasket I would spend the extra $200 & replace the pistons too or at a minimum replace the stock rings with new ones for $25, but like i said it starts & runs fine now... 2 or 3 kicks when its cold & shees runnin :p (it also has a prodesign foam airfilter setup which was $90) The only reason he is selling it is cuz he likes to ride muddy trails & hunts & wants a 4x4.

We can work when you have $2000.... he can't take any less than that... its easily worth that, just let me know & if he doesn't sell it by then you can look at it... I think its going in the paper next week so it should go I would think though.

not to sound like a prick or anything, but i hope you are referring to the tranny fluid, b/c there is no other oil in em. i guess im gonna assume you know what you are talking about and are referring to the gasket on the right side-case. i dont really know how the front could be leaking though, the tranny is farther back, and the front of the sidecase is for coolant. not to call you a liar or anything- but if i were the buyer i would want this straightened up.

yea really...do you mean coolant is leaking? because he's got a point there...'shees only have tranny oil other than the stuff you mix in the tank....

spliffy, you're headed up to milltown? i would meet ya' there and go riding with you but the 'shees about to have FMF pipes and silencers put on it...so i won't be doing any riding this weekend. hopefully next weekend i'll be up at milltown. and what's the status on the whole "quads being kicked out of milltown" deal? hear anything more about that yet?:confused:

ya tranny fluid....:rolleyes: you know OIL heh.... :p anyways we went to milltown on saturday & were there for about 4 hrs & had a blast.... the owner didn't seem to care cuz he saw us out there & didn't say a word & his kid came down on a little dirtbike & watched us.. so I would assume quads are still ok...thats a fun track. :D

well I will tell you the whole story, he wants $2450 for it & I told him (my freind) that I could sell it to a guy on the net (flyinrancher) for $2000.... so I already did all I could do to get you a good deal (its easily worth that much) there is no way he will go less than that cuz a dealer will give him $1900 for it on a trade in..... & I guarentee that dealer will put it up for around $2500-$2600. He put it on www.atvtraderonline.com Friday & has had numerous calls & requests for pictures, so its a hella deal at $2000...... I thought in the begginning of this thread you had $2000 to spend on a quad???:confused:
