Artic cat is trying to stay with he gang with a New 400 Sport Model , check it out . It seems like a wanna-be Z-400 thouigh if you ask me.

suzuki puts thier engines in artcic cat machines. all thier sleds, and atvs have a suzuki motor in them. its a partnership thing. so its more then fair that AC gets to use the z400 too

400 DVX
Brand new for Arctic Cat is its entry into the sport class of ATVs. The DVX 400 is based on the Suzuki Z400 engine, but has a distinct look of its own. It has the 398cc powerplant that's been popular for Suzuki the past two years. It also has a five-speed manual transmission with reverse. To round out the performance, a 36mm Mikuni BSR carb claims to provide quick throttle response.

The fenders are detachable for a unique look. The DVX is available in black with lime green fenders, black with red fenders or red with red fenders. It has a steel-alloy frame and aluminum swingarm.

The engine and the frame are the same as the Zuk, only the plastic....and hopefully the price, are different.
I posted this in one of the other threads on the new ACs, but I guess Ill post it again..... detatchable fenders are cool!

cheetah - not sure when the sled engines will ever be used.... I would think that would have to be one heck of a strong frame, which mean a heavier quad. :confused:

Sportrax10 - definitely not the same plastic as the prototype...... much, much better than the sawtooth crap. :blah:

The fender idea sounds sweet but you just have to think about if the fenders might break easy cause they are detactable

probably not.. i bet they just pop off the seams if they get too much stress. probably less chance to break em on a roll .

The marbled ones actually look a lot better in person than in that pic...:ermm:
