i now have the nicest ex in the northeast pa area that i ride. heheh i was bored and i was replasing clutch plates and when i had the clutch case off i desided to polish it wow that is alot of work but was it ever worth it. almost a full day of polishing and it still needs to be polished more. some little scratces in it. i know its not that bad but i know there there i think i might just leave it gunna get worse from riding. how do i keep them looking nice. how and what do i clean them with when im washing her. thanks for the help on the polishing tips.

thats not polished yet i just buffed it. that paint or whatever is hard to get off. i didnt sand one bit just use a buffing wheel and the courcest compound then keep going down. for the tight areas i just used some paint thinner. and let it soak. still need to polish it good now. heeh this is fun i can make some money on master cylinder and throttle covers.

:grr: :mad: there is a finger print on the throttle cover. arrggggggggggg. that was the nicest picture without glare too. i hate finger prints.

you can keep it clean by

-never riding

-never change oil and filter

so pretty much be like a 65 year old man with it. let it sit in a heated garage. never start at it and never let any one touch or look at it wrong??? :rolleyes: no i dont think so. hehehe

umm i dont know if you know this but i cant see it. how hard is it to polish the madneto side. harderr f easier. alot of wires inside that need to be disconnected??

I think there are 6 bolts inside the stator cover that need to be undone, and the stator and two other pieces come out. Make sure you get these back in the right places, or else there would probably be some serious carnage in there. lol

No, mothers doesn't do anything unless the piece has been polished before. I have my polishing done by a shop. He does some stuff for nothing at all, and the rest for 20% off. Sponsors rule.:)
