The rear, hard to get a good pic of it when it's mounted, but as you can see from the first ones they put a nice rubber coating & sticker on the rezzie:)

Unfortunately I couldn't really evaluate these around my house since it's all flat, but I'm hitting the Bull Gap trail system tomorrow, so the truth will be told. The rear seems to work really well, I attempted to jump off a really uneven dirt pile in leftover from construction & landed right on the rear from about 4' up & it seemed to soak up much better than stock.... and dam you ATVMXRIDER, I took all these pics & you're in bed, sissy:mad: LOL!!

Is that a rear rebuild or an all new shock. If it is a rebuild do you mind me askin what it cost?

Hey Chknhwk, is your steering stem bent up top? Your handle bars seem to be leaning over to one side? Just curious, because that's not safe! Check it out!

They look sweet. My brother has some on order they should be here in a week or two. Get some shock covers on those and an AC Bumper would make the front look a whole lot better.

It is a rebuild & it cost too much... I could not get anyone to give me a deal on these shocks. I called 5 different places, standard price is $400.

Very Nice. I think you made a very smart choice:)

Well all in all I think the shocks are are a good investment although I maintain that they are overpriced by about 30%!!!

Anyways they performed very well, I thought they seemed a bit stiff at first, but perhaps the springs needed to be broke in a bit... I'm not sure, or I need to turn the compression down a click? Any suggestions here?

Now the good part - these things rock on the whoops & rough stuff. The harder you put the hammer down the better they like it (to a certain extent) When the whoops are close and deep I don't think there is a shock that can overcome that. And as you can see from the pics I'm about to post it definately lowers the 400 and makes it look better. They claim 2" ride height lowering, but I measured 1-1/2" front and rear. I have not had an opportunity to seriously jump these shocks, but I don't see how they can't be infinately better than the stockers.

Looks good, so would you say buying works, or something would be a better deal? I want either works or Elka, TCS is on my list, but I am not sure. I won't be getting new shocks for a while. So do you think that the TCS's and the rear rebuild are worth it, say going from having to buy a rear to get it rebuilt...?

Thanks! :D

6-pack rack I bought my dad for father's day & for helping me a ton building my house. This thing was a live saver; six bottles of water taste great on an 80 mile ride:D

The thing is that if you are going to buy works shocks with comparable options, ie full race shock w/customer setup brand new. You are going to pay the same or more. Elka is 2-300 more so they were not an option, plus the turn around on TCS was 2 weeks & I could have had them sooner if I would have sent my rear in the day I ordered them. As I previously stated they are worth it but still over priced.

go with PEP... If you plan on getting shocks within a few months order your PEP now, there is a wait but if you don't want em for awhile order them now, by the time you are ready with the money they will be ready. you don't have to pay until they come to your door COD  , and there worth every penny, plus you can always cancel them, im surprised that this guy was disapointed with his TCS maybe after a few adj they will be better

If you have interpreted what I have said as unsatisfied you are sorely mistaken. I am merely giving an honest opinion of my purchase which is more than I can say for some. I'm not going to butt pump the manufacturers or suppliers of the stuff I buy. I am going to give an objective opinion. All the shocks are over priced, ESPECIALLY PEP!! I've had enough of you and Norrisboat; I realize I open myself for cristicism by posting, but I fear I am wasting my breath:ermm:

Being able to afford PEP's has nothing to do with having to wait months. If PEP didn't have such a long wait, I would have them on my 400 instead of the Elka's I have, but I won't wait that long. Axis, MotoWoz, and Elka are all expensive if you go with their LT. TCS and PEP will be my next choices when I get another quad. Just not sure I can wait that long for PEP, plus I haven't heard anything bad about TCS.
