ok got my x-6 on along with a UNI filter and modded lid. im going to b putting in a 42 pilot and 152 main jets tomomrrow. these were reccomended by sparks. they also reccomended i turn the fuel screw down 2 turns. i here this isnt nesseccary and u really shouldnt have to mess with it. any thoughts? i know i can just try but i'd rather get some opinions about this and c what the affects r and stuff...

thanks

are you asking what the fuel screw is for and what it does?

first off, i'm wondering why you went with the x-6? I would hope you are planning to build a 440 or bigger very soon....cuz thats what the x-6 is for. But about the mixture. Factory is 2 1/4 turns. Seeing as how you are going to a 42 pilot with that pipe, i wold listen to sparks, but then again, its only 1/4 of a turn.....

but i'm really wondering why they suggested only a 152 main?! I ran a 165 main on my Alien system....jetting was near perfect...152 just seems REALLY small

well i have read many many reviews and listened to a lot of people on this board and the x-6 is just fine for a stock motor. yes the x-4 is more for stock motors but even sparks says the x-6 does great on stockers. i do plan to do a 416 down the road but no time soon.

but thanks for the advice and i have a 160 and a 152 so im going to try both :) i didnt realize i would only b adjusting the screw that little. but ill give it a shot.

thanks

when i talked to them they told me a 160 main for lid in place and a 165 for removed lid. however, on his jetting suggestion page, it only says a 152 or something like that. i am not sure what to think. i just got my x-6 but i won't get my a-arms on until tomorrow so i can't wait to see how it performs. i am 2.5 turns out on the skrew and the clip is down one on the needle.
