im sure other pple get these ideas that sound good at the time, but 10 min into the sanding process, what was i thinkin

i polish my stuff. I got a billet/polished shifter, engine mounts, electric starter cover, oil filter cover, throttle cover, front brake hydrolic resivour cover, levers, handle bar mounts and a couple other small things i'm forgetting. It sucks though because you pretty much gotta repolish them about every ride.

Heres a picture of my bike, looks the same now except for number plates and some black universal fat bars.

Guys you have to stop posting pics of the side cases cause its getting hard to keep talking myself out of it.

I been thinking on switching to hypers so I dont have to polish the wheels anymore and here I am thinking about doing the cases again :grr:

Dont the cases get scraped up and stuff real easy?

It all looks good though :D

Is it impossible to polish the cases while it is still intact? I know the tranny is in good condition, and I don't feel like splitting the case just to polish it.

you dont need to split the cases, they call them the "cases" but there really not. on an R its the magneto cover and the clutchside cover... also known as the cases.

im sure if you have to split the cases just to make the motor look pretty, lots of people wouldnt go threw the hassle :eek2:

How difficult is it to polish the jug? I'd really like to dress up my quad, and the dull gray just isn't cutting it. I've done a little bit of polishing, but I've never tackled anything as big as an entire engine.
