I know the saying if it's too loud then your too old. Hearing is more important than lookin cool with yo car gheto blaster cranked up...:eek:

I had a loud stereo for about 10 years and I know for a fact it caused me hearing loss..:grr:

damn it why couldnt have made this post a few weeks ago when i still had my truck?? i have the system but its not installed in anything right now but here is the run down its pretty loud !

3 12" JLAudio W3 D4 subs
Rockford 800a2 amp
kicker zx400 running MB Quarts mids and highs

loudest DB: 152.8
this is in a sealed box when i buy a tahoe its going into a ported box so i should pick up a few more DB there also !

Heres some old picks of my system. Its been upgraded recently. The 400S now powers the door speakers, and a 750S powers the subs. I also recessed the amp into the sub box so its out of sight.

Heres mine, I pulled it out the other day to hook a second speaker to it. Now I have two speakers in the dash! I read on the back it has 7 watts X 1 whatever that means. It sounds really good now with two speakers. I am so proud, people look at me when I turn it up real loud with the windows down.

you guys should hear my computer system. it blows a lot of car audio setups away. its the klipsch 5.1 system. its got two 8 inch side firing subs in a ported box. a 500 watt amp. and thx surround sound. its bad arse.

Just thought I would mention here. I have a set of MB Quart 6 1/2's that I don't use. There just sitting in a box collecting dust. For those people that are fimiliar with MB's, these speakers POUND!!! There design to fit flush to whatever there gonna go meaning that the grill is not re-moveable. If anybody here knows of anybody that might be interested....swing'em my way and have them e-mail or something? I paid about $370.00 new and there practically brand new. Had them in my truck for about 6 months.:D
