Barry Hawk

I had an interesting thought. The action photos on Yamaha's website have Barry piloting the new 450. Other than Barry having his best year yet in the GNCC, what do you guys think of the possiblity of them putting Barry on the 450 in the Pro Production class? At first it sounds crazy. However, remember the rumors of yamaha offering him a ride on the bashee when he first went to yamaha? Rumors maybe, but it would make sense for them to put Barry on a 450. They already Have Jason raines to ride their bike to the winners circle. Which brings up another thought. Barry vs. Ballance? Do you guys think Barry would still have what it takes to win on a quad? Or do you guys think that the bar has been raised since he left?

It wasn't too many years ago they were. It was just that ballance was chasing Hawk. I just think it would really be a treat to see the roles reversed with hawk chasing Ballance! (wishfull thinking)

barry hawk won 7 gncc titles. do you know how many races he had to win to get there? ALOT. i bet the dude is just as fast now as he was then. i dont think ballence would be a problem for him at all. when i first saw the picture of hawk on the 450 at work i was like wow maybe they'll sponser him. that would be a big step for gncc racing.

Hawk is the best woods racer of all time!! Ballance wouldn't be able to catch him. Well maybe if he races the YZF 450, but if he raced his old quad he would be unstoppable.

i was talking to santo dersi dad sat at the va race and he sail barry is comming back. i think if he can pull off a number 1 plate in the bikes he will come back. i also when he won all quad races he was raceing quads on sat and bikes on sunday. what an iron man.but u got to figure that win a quad race get maybee 1000.00 bucks win on a dirt bike get 3000. to 4000. grand plus what ever yamaha pays him. just look at the contengency money thay pay bikes .:grr:

Yes, He is currently leading in points in the GNCC bikes

there is more of a future in bikes then there is ATV's IMO

GNCC rules won't allow him to race both. He would be nuts to give up what he is making on the bike to race quads again. He wouldn't even come close to what he is making now.
I don't think he could run with Ballance, the pace has picked up in the last 3 years!!!
