High Comp!!!

Just a quick question If I just put in a high comp piston would I notice it and where in the power band, I know a cam would be great also but I just would like to know what a high comp piston would do with the stock cam I mostly trail ride.

More low end. However, with the higher compression, the motor would be more apt to ping or detonate with the stock cam. The higher compression piston "makes up" for the loss of compression and bottom end due to a larger lift and/or higher duration cam. Basically, since the valves are open longer, the motor has less time to build compression. The higher compression cam makes up for this. Hope that helps.
