Hello
I was wondering what would be a good jetting suggestion for a 1989 250r that will be running at 2000 ft above sea level and have a 36 mm carb along with a race ported engine ? Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

Um my 250r I thought had a 36mm carb but i think it mighta been a 34 but I was at about 500-600 ft and i ran a 142 So I would say 135 or so but its a guess but u know start big and go small!;)

Put a jet in it that you KNOW that is too big and work your way down!

My theory is that u can NEVER pridict your jetting I mean u have a good idea of what it will be but say there someone with the same egzact bike same motor mods, EVERYTHING, and your both at the same elevation I would bet that there jetting might be just a little differnt! So is what I did say I know my jet is between a 150 and 160 I would buy a 165,160,158,155,153,150,145! I know its a lot but hey you can never get too many jets cause if your like me your constantly changing them and $20 is better than a new piston!;)
