I just opened up my airbox to change/clean the filter and there was gas on the filter. Is that ok? or should I look into it further?

sounds like something backfired and brought gas with it

that happened to my friend with his 400ex yesterday when he hit the face of a double and flipped foward, gas was on his filter and fenders. also a few years back my dad accidentally put some gas into the air filter...it has this thing that comes up out of the air filter box that looks exactly like the gas tank so he put some in there, and it actually ran better and had better accel...it was pretty funny....the thing's a little beast:macho :ermm: (my lt185)

Nope, Nothing out of the ordinary. Motor is stock, I just installed a WB E-Series and filter yesterday so I know that is not it.

mine did that so i went and got a briggs and straton fuel shutoff valve. it was 4.00 and all i did was connect it from the exsisting suzuki valve and hose to the carburator. cut the hose and just put the valve in.

Mine does it too when you stand it on the grab bar, actually it pours out. But, this time it was just sitting in the garage for about a week and I havent stood it up for a few months.
