Anyone with a 416 426 or 440 ever beat piped raptors, dales or 250rs or shees? and if so by how much?

i dont have one, but my one friend that races, has a 416ex practice bike and a 465ex race bike, and he beats raptors all the time. He is a really good racer, and i think started on a 90, then a 300, then the ex's, so there you go:D
We all went racing one time, the 416, my ex a z-400 and a banshee, that had like FMF, reeds and i think bored. The 416 won, then the shee, then my ex:D then the z ha ha (he beats that too much)

hell i have beat raptors with my stage 2 cam, choke removed and pipe and filter 400. its all in the start. this is drag race. on the track its no problem to beat those other quads if your a good enough rider. 250r's and dales are the only real competition on the track.

This past weekend I was drag racing my boyfriend on his piped/jetted rappy (dirt roads) - I beat him a couple of times but it was close. Down to whoever gets a better start......I don't have a bigger carb or rockers or anything, just the 440 and cam, etc.......someone with all the goodies could probably easily take on a piped rappy.....

i can run dead even with a piped raptor, ds650, and banshee and beat them all stock......all i have is a ported head, cam, full exhaust open airbox, and i'm on the stock bore.

I have race them all in the sand drags and I can easily beat piped raptors by 4 lengths, Alba banshee's by about 1- 1 1/2 lengths, bombardiers by at least 4-6 lengths. The only quads that were giving me problems with minimal mods were the Dales. I don't know much about the Dale's and I didn't talk to any of them so I'm not really sure what mods they had or even how fast they are stock. I was beating quite a few 250r's too but with a few mods they can easily be made fast enough to beat my 416. Pretty much all of those races were run in the flat sand at about 250 yards i would say.

It all depends on how long the race is. When my Raptor was only piped, and it was properly "TUNED", my 416 would beat it until about the 300 foot mark. Then it was all over. My Rappy would catch up and pull away easily. The only EX's that ever flat out beat me were the SPARKS bikes at Four Stroke Wars. If a piped Raptor is properly tuned it takes a pretty built EX to even run with them in a long drag. My buddies 440 versus my Rappy came down to the launch. Whoever got the holeshot won. His mods were: 11:1 440 kit with porting, 450/451 Web cam, 39mm FCR, and Spark's X6 pipe. Short runs are definately in the EX's favor. My 416 is much easier to launch(read: keep the front end down) than my Raptor was.

I won't get into all the details of who, what, where and when, but I have beat the following...

Several other EX's, including a 440.
Stock, and piped Z-400's
Stock, and piped Raptors
Stock, and piped DS650's
Stock R, and then with a pipe, carb, and head.
LT250r with pipe, bore, carb, and reeds
Piped Banshee
RM125 with pipe and reeds
RM125 stock
CR125 stock
CR125 with pipe and reeds

Several of these were at ice drags.

And I ain't lying, although some of the races were close (Raptor, and the CR), I always end up taking them by a few quad lengths in the end. I am very impressed with my setup and its ability to run. I also am not claiming that these were all good riders, but I know all of them with the exception of the guys on the Z's, Raptor, and 440 and they are decent riders.

I raced 3 races this year in the four stroke B class of the GNCC's. The only thing that beat me were other honda's.

Paul - I have no clue. I'd like to dyno it sometime, but I wouldn't imagive it's on the high end of the other 440's around here - I dont have a bigger carb or anything - and just an MX cam with stock springs and all that........but it's good enough for me right now. I'll be getting an FCR for my next mod........

I've beat a piped Raptor in about a 500yrd drag in a open field. I got the holeshot and kept the lead the whole time, but after 3 races he started reeling me in at the end of the run...
