Quick ?'s on black box & carb...

....Rev Box.
1)..When you send in your stock rev.limiter, to get moded,
.....do they Remove, the limiter, or just bump it up a little?
2)..if it's removed, what eeps me from over reving? comon sence?
3..What about using a sock 400EX box? would't the litim be higher?..are the plugs the same?

....Carb.
Would i benifit from replacing my stock 300 carb, with a stock 350X carb?..What about a 400EX carb?
Or would see the same results with larger jetts in my 300EX carb?

The black box is a question to ask the shop that is doing it. Its cheapest to remove it. To bump it up is a little more expensive, it usually entails buying a whole new black box. Chances are, if you are sending yours in, it's getting removed.

About the carb, a 400ex carb will benifit you well, and I don't know too much about the 350x carb...:confused:

I agree with don't do the black box. It'll never start when it's cold and it's just uneeded revs unless you have a HIGHLY modified motor. Just get a 400 carb, it'll be easier to find and probably cheaper, the only way you'll see good gains with the carb is if you have some mods to your motor as well. Get the carb and then get your head ported and polished.:devil:

Really?...then why would you need a 350x carb if/when you do "The" motor swap? 350x/300ex

so my best bet would be,
..400ex carb, with 350X intake boot right.
Didn't take much convencing to get me ot to do the rev mod..i just don't trust it.

One more thing..
