i use the one from a yz426 dirtbike...but also now carry a spare. Pappy have you had better luck with the cr style buttons?
as far as wireing it in i just took the stock unit off and took the two wires from the stock switch that went to the starter button and wire them to the yz switch. i have had 2 switches in about 1 and a half years fail.

Pappy why is the CR better then the YZ?

yep....a lil bit of typical riding mud and water and it wont work:mad: the cr style has better sealing and wont be as prone to leave yer arse in the woods:scary: i havent looked at the yzf style but i will:D

i have a switch from a crf the problem i ran into is that on the crf it is used to send the ignition to ground to kill the bike...the switch it self is grounded when you mount it to the bars, not sure how to modify it.

maybe its the crf switch and the cr works:confused: i was told by several people to chit can the yammy style and make the switch. i learned all about the yammy switch:ermm: so im counting on the cr to get the job done. if i get it and install it ill let ya know how it works and if i have any troubles

Ya that was how mine was, it grounded itself to the bar. So I got the alternitive.......

i would have just used a wrap or two of black tape on the bar...then mounted the switch...that should have kept it from grounding:confused:

I did a search on this a while back, when I decided to do it and it sounded like most people were having bad luck with the cr style burning out. I put a yamaha button on mine and its been about two months and I haven't had any problems.
