Engine noises?

I just installed a full belly skid plate and i guess i didn't notice it at first but the noise coming from the engine area seems alot louder and different sounding. I figure that the noisies are probably bouncing off the metal plate but was curious to hear if others noticed the same thing. It was an aluminum plate on a 400 ex.

mine does the same thing because I have a set of nerb bars on my bike and wasnt able to put the middle mounts on so at a certain rpm it vibrates. If it didnt make that sound until you put on your skid plate then it's surely the source of the noise so I would not worry about it.
