400ex Brake recall

Hey all anyone know the vin# affected by the recall

yeah.....if your brakes were installed wrong, you most likely wouldn't be able to move the bike. its hard to jam 2 brake pads onto the same side of the rotor!

I kinda figured i was something stupd like that .I had not even really heard anything about it till my cousin said something about it and said i better check and see if mine was affected although my brakes have always worked great .

It says in ATV sport on page 8.

i got a letter from honda like a year and a half ago about the recall but my quad wasen't affected.

I bought my 400ex used with 2 tanks through it. It was still under warranty for 3 more months. I was riding and noticed that I could almost stand on the brakes in the rear and it would barely lock up. I pulled the rear caliper off and cleaned it up a little which did not take much then flipped the pads. Now it works much better and the brakes respond much quicker with little effort. Just thought I would add my solution I used.
