question about R plastic

Im no expert on R's so dont make fun. i always hear people talking about the diferent plastics 86,88,89 etc. but i dont know the difference so if any of you could explain i would appreciate it, thnks.

probably but im talking about the plastic

not much differnces...they all are interchangable ..

I even have 89 hood/light on 1 of my 86's;)
