Hey guys,

All I need to do is install my DMC pipe and I'm good to go on the 416 rebuild. Well, I got the head ported and don't have the gaskets where the pipe conects the head. Where do I get those?? Are there even gaskets there to start with? Sorry is this is basic question??

Any help??

the dealer would be able to get those in. i just ordered a pipe from C and D racing and i got two from them. they were like $2.10 a piece. i am assuming you are talking about those little copper ones right?

Thats the ones and dont run without them.

Also should replace them evertime you remove the exhaust, but I know you can re use them once or twice ;)

Those gaskets start out round, then "crush" into place and flatten as you tighten the header down.

And they form around the header and head etc and make a good seal, but thats why you shouldnt use them twice cause you need to overtighten the header a little and thats not too good.

anyone know the torque specs for the bolts that hold the header to the head?
