400ex/300ex conversion

my freind is going to install my 400ex a-arms and shocks on his 300ex and we need to know how much wider it will be so we can order the wheel spacers for the back.thanks

i think it is just a little bit less then +2

I'm pretty sure it makes it +1. You need to get a shock lowering kit or the right sized works shocks work well for it to be right.

i think ima get me some 2.5 wheel spacers for the back..i like the back wider than the front plus i do sum flattracking

If the wheels are wider in the rear it won't turn and handle very well.

well if i get the 2.5's in the rear and leave my 300 shocks on it'll be about the same cause i have my front rims flipped

I got the 400ex conversion and I put 2.5 wheel spacers in the back. But I also have +3 offset front rims and they are the same. I think I'm 49in wide both front and back.

Put a 400ex swingarm /axle,on it ,All you need is a 250 r shock using the 400ex linkage and weld a lower mounting bracket to the frame,Been there Done that...

he dosent want to tie up that kind of money.he wouldnt be installing the arms and shock if it wasent for me haveing them already
