Let me know how much you are going to ask for, my brother is looking into getting a 400. Not sure if he wants a full drag race quad though

It is set up for drag now but would be very easy to set it up for play riding, MX or XC. All it needs is a set of front shocks, i still have the rear, and maybe a little shorter swingarm.

I think I would give 5500 for it at least. But I'm usually pretty cheap.

If I was in the market for a drag four stroke and didnt have a guy that could do em that well, I would give upwards of 8g's for it Chad. Some people will be more, and the people who dont really know what they are getting will give less. Put it on the net. It will prolly sell to someone out Glamis or up here, Sand NEEDS big horsepower.

Well im definately glad to hear that! Wish you were looking! I was thinking about putting it on ebay? I think you have to pay fees even if I doesnt sell? I would need to set a reserve too. What do you think about doing that?

Chef
06-12-2003, 03:25 PM
Yea, go for it. The first winning bidder, or even the second, might not take it though. But keep tryin. It doesn't cost that much. Csots me like 5 bucks an auction for stuff.

06-12-2003, 03:40 PM
i've had some experience of sellin stuff on ebay. Put ur reserve at what YOU want for it. nothing less. Then maybe put a buy it now of 1500 more than what u think u'll get. U just dunno what kinda people r lookin at it! thats just my opnion also say buyer must arrange for pick up. Put maybe u'll deliver up to 250 miles or whatever and 20 cents a mile after that. Make sure the buyer puts a deposit down like 3 days sfter the acution ended. That's my .02 on this subject. If it was me put buy it now at 9,500 or 10. reserve at 8000 or 8500.

Chad I know you have a killer bike and all, but I just dont think the market is there for a USED ex. Good Luck though.:)

yeah put it on ebay..good strong quads sell pretty easy and at good prices on there..yeah set the reserve at about 8500 and the buy it now at 9500-10000..make sure they send you a deposit of about 4000-5000

Ya you dont want some hobo comin up to ya sayin Il take that quad off your hands, and he never comes, or he'll say he doesnt have that much money on him and he says lemme take the quad back home so I can get you the money.

I doubt you'll see 8000 for it. I could be wrong. Is there really a big market for 4-stroke drag bikes?

If you put it on Ebay, be sure to include some Horsepower numbers...

Ryan
06-13-2003, 05:57 AM
Chad, instead of putting a reserve, start the bidding at $7,500. That will get more peoples attention. But if you do add a reserve, make sure you include the reserved price so the bidders will know what there up against.

I would try to get $7,000-8,000 for it. Won't be easy, though.

Good luck.

I could live with getting 7-8,000 for it. Thats what Im shooting for anyway.

I'll trade you a 465 engine (20hrs run time) and a stock EX motor for the 505 and your gas tuned Lectron. I was thinking about doing a TC505 to my spare motor but I would do this deal if your 505 is in perfect running order.

JMiller The 505 still runs perfect. Actually probably doesnt even have 4 hours of run time since it has is only been started to run down the strip. But I think Im going to sell it as it sits!!

Nothing performance on the quad. Other parts such as handlebars, grips, pro-peg nerfs like that stuff ona quad I would still consider it stock cause you didnt change the speed or power of it.

you talking about mark with the cray craft 686 raptor, if so there is alotta guys i know with way faster raptors than his, the thing that is cool about his is the amount of horsepower it makes for what it is(not highly modded), its a runner..

No cause that effects the handling and the way landings are felt... I said nerf bars, handle bars and grips, I didnt say anything about shocks.

If you know anything, you know handlebars make a HUGE difference.

You'll probably attrect more buyers with a conventional set up on your machine/ or part it out. That 505 would be an awsome motor!:eek2:

not to start a fight but you said as long as you don't affect the speed or power of it then you would still consider it stock. so then you would consider the freshly shocked quad stock

thats an awesome bike chad

good luck sellin it

AndrewRRR
06-18-2003, 08:34 AM
Good luck with it. If it doesn't sell and you relist it i'd start the bidding at $5500 and put a reserve of $7000-$7500 on it. The reason is if an auction doesn't meet the reserve you don't get charged for it, and you can relist for free. You should also throw in a couple more pics, especially ones of it racing, and maybe throw out some timeslip numbers in 300' drags.
The bikes I see getting decent money have exact performance numbers since somebody laying down that much cash probably already races and wants to know what it will do.
