The boot ripped a little when i put the 38mm carb in the lt250 and is not making a good seal. Has anybody put a quadzilla carb in a lt250r here and how did you do it? Does it run if you do nothing after you put it in? thanks

I helped a friend of mine put a Keihin PWK38 in his LT250, an I can tell you one thing, it did not want to go into the boots! It was such a pain to get in there, and of course, we would get it in each boot, and then it would slip out right before we clamped it down. Anyway, I think he ended up going with right around a 160 main on his. I am not exactly sure which carb the 500's had, but I think you could come close by going with a 165, and work your way from there.

i heard of other people putting a lt500 carb into a lt250, but that would be interesting to know how, used a heat gun to make it a lil easier to slip on, but then the boot ripped

I have heard of people using the boots from the 500, but I don't know if it actually would work. The carb made a big difference on it.
