Just got the CT slip-on today. Main jets range from 160 to 170.
I called CT and they said to use STOCK pilot and experiment with mains.

I never told them where I was from either, which makes me suspect to the recomendation.

My 400 is completely stock internally. Only mods I plan are the slip-on, air box lid mods and k&n filter, and main jet.

From what I've read most exriders go to a 42 pilot and 155 main, of which I have none at this time.

With that said, is the 38 too small and the CT 160 main too large for the Houston, Tx climate?

Any suggestions from exriders in the area appreciated.

Post your elevation. Check w/ a nearby airport if needed. :)

The only thing I changed when I ran my slip on was the main jet which I went to a 165 with an open air box and K&N filter. I lowered it later to a 163 and got better results even thou CT suggested the 165.... Oh I ran the 163 with the spark arrestor and the 165 did run good when i HAD THE PIPE WITH THE OPEN END AND NO sa....
