how much different is the 89 cr250 motor than the 250 r motor? will a cr 250 motor fit in a 250r frame?

its not a good idea. you'll snap your frame because the CR engine doesn't have a counterbalancer. i didn't have a counterbalancer in my LT and it was not only REALLY hard to ride (turned your butt, hands, and feet to jelly) but it also snapped the frame 2 times.
i asked my the guy at my local shop which specializes in 250r's about the differences and he said this
" they are close, like evrything will bolt up with lilttle or no modifacations, BUT they are different.... all the stuff on the r motor was designed to work with the other stuf and the same with the cr motor.... although it may work cosmeticly it won't work verywell mechanically".... i took it as a gospil..lol....ohh and juggalo is 100%right it will wear you and your frame very rapidly.. because of no counterbalancer...toby
is there a way to put a counterbalencer in it? is the counter balencer in the lowerpart of the motor or in the cylinder?
