I just got 18" tamers for the rear and I want to get a 36 tooth sprocket to change the gears back close to stock. My question is Can I still use the stock chain and have enough adjustment to get it tight without having to remove links??

I got a 36 on mine with the stock chain, but I had to cut a little bit off and install a DID o ring masterlink. Stock chain is made by DID.

Do you think one link will be enough?

One link should be enough, I had to cut a link out of mine when I put a 36rear sprocket on my EX.

My chain is doing fine, I'm running 15-36 gearing and see no need in taking a link out so it will stay on fine.

No need to remove chain. My adjustment is almost maxed out w/15-36 combo.
