I am running a Houser 1.25+ swingarm. I am wanting to know if it is necessary to run a Banshee-style rear chain slider. The reason being is that I have seen a lot of pics of quads that didn't have them on there. But, some know-it-alls at the track told me I had to have it and so I installed one tonight and it didn't appear to fit correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I got one when I ordered my RPM +1 1/4" swingarm. It wouldn't fit on there with my swingarm guard, so I left it off. You don't HAVE to have it on there.

depends, if your running a skid plate, most of them have a strip on them and you don't need the banshee one.

My friend doesn't run one on his laeger swingarm, not because he thinks it works better, but because he just hasn't ordered one yet. I run one on my rpm swingarm. works good. it's just there for protection, better be safe than sorry. but if it doesn't fit right. that's a problem. what kind of swinger you got and are you running a skid?

I think Houser has their own chain guides for their swingarms.
